A year of Supercommunicating ...
It's been a year since Supercommunicators was published, and I want to say thanks (and offer a few gifts)
Just over a year ago, Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection, was published.
Since then, about 1 million copies have been purchased around the world, and the book spent over 35 weeks on New York Times bestseller lists.
Much of that success was due to you, the amazing people who receive this newsletter. And so I wanted to share my profound thanks - and offer a few thank you gifts.
First up, for the one-year anniversary, I’ve created a three-episode podcast about Supercommunicators with Slate. It contains details on some of my favorite stories - like how non-verbal communication made the sitcom The Big Bang Theory into a hit - and interviews with experts like Nick Epley, who tries to convince me I should ask strangers, “When’s the last time you cried in front of another person?”
I also wanted to provide resources that might be helpful to anyone hoping to improve their communication - or, for that matter, their habits and productivity.
Okay, enough with the bragging and self-promotion. I mainly just wanted to say thank you - your support has meant the world to me, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
To more great conversations,
Charles
I think I’ve read all your books and have shared with numerous people.
I think supercommunicators is the most useful one and the best one. I may be biased as a coach and computer science educator.
Thank you for doing this work!
I enjoyed this book. Big point for me was still to understand early on: Did you want me to Listen, Hug or Hear ?
