I'm a retired technical writer who is now a substitute teacher. Last week, I took a class into the library and watched the librarian read a picture book. The way she held the book (fingers curled at the bottom of the spine) made it easy for her to turn the pages. I've always held them wrong, fumbling with each transition. I thought, "I should practice and learn that method." I picked up a book the way she did, and immediately was able to turn the pages smoothly. I'm only 67. I have plenty of time to learn more of these important life skills.

As a surprise to me (the pre-covid myself) and to all others who know me, I am pursuing my masters in social work, after quitting my corporate job of 23 years!

Thank you for all the learning and teaching recommendations!
