Since moving from London to Bangkok, the best thing my wife and I spend our money on is flights home. It was our choice to move here, so we made a pact to not miss weddings, not miss christenings. The special memories we have from buying those expensive plane tickets far outweighs the $$.
I haven't bought it yet, but I'm buying myself a personal locator beacon for my birthday. It's definitely risky, it means I'm committing myself to hiking through remote areas often enough to make it worth it! But I can't wait
I like to pay for direct services like massage, house cleaning, and haircuts because I am helping (usually) a woman make a living. Interesting how none of these jobs will be supplanted by AI.
Spending time together has always been way more important to me and my husband than spending money just for the sake of it. But we recently splurged on second row floor tickets to see our favorite band AC/DC together. We made a whole trip out of the concert since they weren't playing in our home town. We flew to Milwaukee, took a train to Minneapolis (an incredible city we had never been to before), and lived in the moment together at the epic concert. It's those kinds of memories that money allows us to create together. Worth every penny!
In December I took my teen on a mama-daughter trip to Cancun. I sprung for the upgraded “Royal experience”. And what you said about going a bit over the top makes so much sense! We enjoyed it immensely, and the extra $$$ felt worth it for the better food and accommodations and perks. It bought a LOT of happiness 😍 and an experience we’ll never forget.

A lot of stuff regarding running races- registration fees, nutrition and many other things.
Thank you for your newsletter. I really enjoyed your reminder about the benefits of giving and the importance of allowing other to give.

Seeing an opportunity express my gratitude and going for it. Gratitude is Hope, Hope is good 'ey.
Nice read 💯
Buying my friend a book so we could plan an extended hike together.

You are a good mom.
A great read. The most valuable money I spent the last month was a whole day trip to
Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, with 5 great friends. I volunteered to drive.
A friend who volunteers to drive! You are the glue!
